Plot
The film revolves around two young brothers, Periya Kaaka Muttai (Big Crow Egg) and Chinna Kaaka Muttai (Small Crow Egg), who live in a slum with their mother and grandmother. Their father is in jail for an unknown reason. The brothers spend their time roaming around the slum, collecting coal from railway tracks, stealing eggs from crows' nests and watching television at their friend's house. They are fascinated by the new pizza shop that has opened near their area and decide to try it out someday.
They start saving money by doing odd jobs and selling coal. They also try to imitate the lifestyle of the rich people they see on TV, such as wearing branded clothes, sunglasses and shoes. They even get a haircut at a salon after seeing an advertisement featuring actor Silambarasan. However, they face many obstacles and challenges in their quest to buy a pizza, such as being cheated by a shopkeeper, being chased by a dog, being humiliated by a security guard and being caught by the police.
Meanwhile, a politician named Venkatesan uses the slum as his vote bank and promises to provide them with basic amenities such as water, electricity and toilets. He also plans to inaugurate the pizza shop as a publicity stunt and invites a famous actor to cut the ribbon. The brothers manage to sneak into the shop during the inauguration and order a pizza with their hard-earned money. However, they are disappointed by the taste of the pizza and realize that it is not worth their efforts. They return to their slum and share their leftover pizza with their friends, who enjoy it more than them.
The film ends with a message that says "Hunger is not only for food; it's there in every walk of life."
